This is the best hidden (hotel) gem in Gainesville. It's really more of a AirBnB compound than a hotel in that there's no central lobby and check-in/check-out is all done via text message. But you can't beat the location and price for what you get. It's like having your own personal apartment in the heart of downtown Gainesville. One unexpected, but enjoyable surprise was the community salsa night that took place in the courtyard the 2 nights I stayed there (Wed and Thur). This was unadvertised but seemed like a regular occurrence. The music wrapped up by 10:00, so maybe don't stay here if you're adamant about going to bed before then. There are multiple e-scooters to rent in the area, making getting over to campus a breeze if you're in town for a football or basketball game without having to worry about trying to find parking.

Stopped in to pick up some flower and coffee. Both were great!! Stayed and chilled there for a few hours before my trip back to Ohio. The place has really cool vibes!! If I ever make my way back down to Gainesville again, I'll definitely stop back!

Depot Village was a perfect location to host a memorial to our friend Brian. The staff were very courteous and professional and the grounds were clean and well kept. Thanks for helping make this memorable weekend hassle free !

Not just a stay. An experience!!!! Linda, Matt and the folks in the office are the best. The property is full of eclectic finds. Our house, The The Florida House, was wonderful. Great amenities. Coffee provided, creamer, sugar Pur water, soap, shampoo. And more. We came for Gatornationals. 20 minutes away. Walking to many restaurants or park. We will see you next year.

This place is absolutely amazing!The people that work here as a friendliness the kindness is absolutely wonderful. The rooms are cute and they have so much Charm definitely give five stars. I will always stay here if its available. Wonder all around!

I am so grateful we found Depot Village. Christina and all the employees made us feel completely at home. The Lounge is so nice - and vintage Gville. Djembes, an Ampeg bass rig, comfy couches, keyboards, and a compact trap kit that you are welcome to play. Children dancing and playing as the adults conversed…stellar vibes. We had a large crew, occupying all the units (we stayed in the super cozy Animal House), and we congregated in the commons area all day and well into the night. Matt (the groundskeeper) was there, always at the ready, taking care of anything and everything that came up. In the lounge, Shelby was so friendly; from the start we conversed like old friends. I think she’s ready to start a band! We’ve been visiting our old town regularly since we left in ‘99 and from now on, when we ride through Gville, we will be staying at Depot Village!

(Rewriting this because I'm unsure of it posted) We love Depot Village!! The location is great cos it's right near everything, but not in the thick of it. Perfectly welcoming and very hospitable!! Clean and well cared for, the outside area was perfect for our large gathering! Our friends rented all of the rooms and we were able to make it a special playground for fun and revelry with the inside as a respite for cooling off and rehydrating (wink wink)! Staff was gold and we really appreciated their open and warm ambience.. Highly recommend when you want something different but with all the amenities. Get yourself some and go by for even a visit to their café, it's a sweet place!!
